After attending the University of Lodz, Lucyan received the degree of the Polish philology (literature and linguistic sciences) in 1981. In 1983 Lucyan took an examination to the Office of Culture and Art, which is equivalent to a license of a professional musician. From 1978 Lucyan continued his musical activity, playing various instruments, singing and composing.

Lucyan plays the guitar, electric bass, sitar (Indian flute), bamboo flutes (among them the Bansuri – Indian flute), block- flute, oud (Arabian lute), saz (Middle Orient lute), bouzouki (Greek lute), Panduri, Chonguri (Georgian lutes), drums, African and Arabian drums & percussion and others. As a singer, Lucyan won the first prize of the festival “Let Us Sing the Poetry” (Olsztyn, Poland 1983). Lucyan has composed the music for 8 theatrical passages and has recorded 18 musical albums with his compositions that have been produced 37 times in Poland, Italy, Hungary and the USA.
